About Sound-Mule Sound Design
Why I Create Sound
“I discovered my passion for sound design after watching Mad Max: Furiosa, captivated by the immersive sound effects and cinematography. The storyline took a backseat, but the raw sound of motorcycle engines left a lasting impact on how I perceive sound today. Now, whether I’m operating sound on set or diving into the details in post-production, I bring a commitment to enhancing every director’s vision. With a strong foundation in thrillers and dramas, I’m driven to create rich, immersive soundscapes across genres that elevate your story.”
“I’m skilled in Pro Tools and often work in DaVinci Resolve, bringing versatility to every project. My focus is on short films, but I have a strong appreciation for documentary work, where authentic sound elevates real-life stories. With a particular love for thriller and drama genres, I aim to create immersive, precise soundscapes that resonate with audiences and reinforce the narrative’s emotional depth.”
Values and Collaboration Style
“I take a collaborative approach to sound design, valuing the insights of others to create more nuanced and layered soundscapes. While I’m efficient and reliable working independently—often meeting deadlines ahead of schedule—I make it a priority to align closely with the director’s vision. Open communication is key, as it allows us to stay in sync and bring their ideas to life with just a touch of my own creative flair. This co-operative process ensures each project reaches its fullest potential.”
Vision and Goal
"My vision is to see sound design recognized as more than an accompaniment—it’s a force that shapes perception, influences emotion, and ultimately defines our experience of the world. I aim to craft soundscapes that don’t just enhance films but linger in the minds of audiences, resonating long after the credits roll. My goal is to build a community of sound designers who share a passion for pushing boundaries and bringing their own philosophies to life through sound. I believe that sound, with all its unseen power, deserves deeper study as an art form, and I hope to see a world where its influence is as acknowledged as that of visuals. Together, we can harness sound to change how people experience stories—and maybe even how they experience reality.”
